SIMUREX 2018 scientific school

The SIMUREX scientific school addresses SIMUlation and EXperimentation of the energy performance of buildings. This issue is characterized by extended spatio-temporal scales, strong multi-physics coupling, and important inter-disciplinary questions. Building physics is the intersection of several topics: applied mathematics, fluid mechanics, automation, human sciences, data and signal processing… The main target of the SIMUREX scientific school is to show this inter-disciplinarity in practice, in the aim of increasing the reliability of the energy performance assessment of buildings, either by simulation or by experimental measurements.
The school is targeted at student and researchers and will propose a mix of keynote lectures, workshops, exercises and other discussions. The main topics will be :
- Coupled heat and mass transfer : modelling and monitoring
- Optimisation methods and building characterisation
- Data analysis techniques and statistical learning
- Modelling from the building scale to the city scale
- The role of human sciences in building sciences
Dates : October 15 to 19, 2018
Location : INES (Le Bourget du Lac) on Monday the 15th, and Aussois the following days. Transportation between both places is included in the registration fees.
Students and Post-docs : 500 € if registered before the 25/07/2018, 600 € otherwise
Other : 600 € if registered before the 25/07/2018, 700 € otherwise
Free for CNRS staff (dispositif Ecole Thématique du CNRS)
Price include accomodation, meals, transportation between INES and Aussois on Monday evening and the return trip on Friday.
